Well a squad of 16 made the journey to George V playing fields to play against one of the new teams in the league. The team started well and had many chances in the first half. Unfortunately overconfidence kicked in and the team were not playing as they should. Passes went astray and the changes made the team lose shape in all departments. Players did not cover for each other and the boys did themselves no justice. Having said all that, Dan Lee deserved his MOM award for a well taken Hat-trick. Nathan Carvell, Tom Law, Jack Jurd, Thomas Bale and Will Harrison all scored one apiece.
The team will have to up their game next week if they are to compete. On a positive note training was both well attended and the team responded well.
Congratulations to Eastney today who very competitive throughout the game. Well done lads and remember what I said at the end of the game and in training.
Well done to the contingent of parents who were very supportive today.
