Lee Rangers travelled to their bogey team Whiteley with a bare 11. Over the last few seasons there has always only been 1 goal in it and today was no different.
To be fair, Whiteley should have won the corresponding fixture and today both teams suffered in the last third with Lee having the majority of chances.
Jordan was our goalkeeper again and he was defended by from left to right, Craig, Matt, Connor and Thomas. Midfield consisted of Harley and H with Jack and Luke on the flanks.
Up front we were lead by Dan and Glenn.
Lee started well and commanded the play for the first 20 before Whiteley began to impose. However chances were few and far between and both teams came in at 0 - 0.
Second half started and Lee began to hit their passes with more venom, this resulted in chances for Dan , Jack and Harley.
MOM today was Luke who tormented the Whiteley team with his skill.
However it was not to be as there appeared to be a force field around the Whiteley goal.
So honours even for yet another season and probabaly a fair reflection of both teams.
Thanks again to all of our support and Martin for his Line 'O' endeavours.

Lee Rangers v probably the best team in the division. Both teams played well. Lee started with Mitch up front and Craig starting at the back in the centre.
Fullbacks were Jack and Thomas with Tom G skippering the side. Jordan started in goal and Harley and Luke played left and right with Connor and H in the middle.
Up front with Mitch was Dan.
That left Aiden and Tristan on the bench.
Both sides had many chances in the first half but failed to convert. Second half started and a through ball was latched onto by Dan who had a terrific shot to put Lee 1 - 0 up.
A few minutes later Lee were awarded a penalty which Harley duly dispatched.
It was backs against the wall before Crofton scored to make it 2 -1 and then in the dying embers a soft penalty was given which was scored after a re-take.
All in all a fair result but we must learn to keep our lead as this is the second time in 2 weeks.
Well done as we played a lot better than last week.

26/11/2011 Lee Rangers U16 2 - 2 Crofton Blue U16
Yet another derby game pitched the team against Crofton Blues. We always have a good game against this team and it always played in good spirit.
Today was no different except the Lee players appeared to have been suffering from a late night performance the night before.
Lee battled well and eventually scored to go 1 – 0 up. However a free-kick on the edge of the box allowed Crofton to equalise.
Lee went ahead again only for a mistake in the back four to lead to a penalty.
Crofton equalised with the penalty and it was all that they deserved.

A game that was advertised on facebook attracted a massive crowd to the Polo Fields at HMS Sultan. School rivalries to be settled and the game started well with Dynamo taking the initiative and Lee Rangers failing to get out of the traps. The crowd was antagonising and this seemed to affect the Lee Rangers team as opposed to Dynamo.
After a few chances Dynamo went 1 – 0 up and it was with the run of play. Shortly before half-time Dynamo went 2 – 0 up with a deflected own goal and it was all to play for.
A stern talking too, at half-time gave the Rangers team enough impetus to try and play like they have done throughout the season. Eventually a through ball was latched onto by new signing Mitch Roper who battled his way to take his chance. Shortly afterwards a foul by the Dynamo front man caused the game to be stopped for around half an hour.
Some of the comments from the crowd were outrageous as the Lee Rangers player was quite seriously injured.
Anyway play resumed with 18 minutes on the clock and although Lee huffed and puffed they didn’t get the equaliser they so richly deserved.
MOM today was Tom Griffin and the team need to be congratulated for putting in a fine second half performance.
My best wishes go out to Matt Savage who was caught in a late tackle today and will probably be out for several weeks.
Thanks for all the help at the end of the game.

On a beautiful sunny morning at Whiteley, Lee Rangers Blues played against the Whiteley Dragons, with a squad of Charlie, Keiron, Joe, Joshua, Cameron, Adam, Ronnie and Josh.
Playing for the first time in their new Light blue strip, Lee quickly exerted pressure on the Dragons. Joe was in goal, and in mid field, Adam put in good blocks when the Dragons had possession.
Then, after a great long accurate throw-in by Cameron, Ronnie shot with his left foot to score. 1-0.
Joshua then collected the ball in defence, dribbled past 4 Dragons before passing to Josh, whose shot is blocked. Then Ronnie gets off another left foot shot which goes through the keepers legs for another goal. 2-0.
Lee keep up the pressure, Ronnie breaks from mid-field, passes to Josh who turns and scores, 3-0 to Lee.
Then, just after coming on, Keiron splits the defence with a pass to Josh, who puts the ball into the net. 4-0.
Next is a well worked goal by Lee, Cameron's long throw to Ronnie, who from the inside left position feeds a pass to Josh, who calmly tucks the ball away. 5-0.
Lee then add 2 more before the break. Firstly Josh onto a through ball, is one on one with the keeper which he slots home, then Cam feeds Ronnie, and his shot goes through the keeper.
So at half time, the score is 7-0.
After half time, the team is re-arranged with Josh in goal, Joe in attack.
Joshua has another great break from defence before having his shot blocked.
Whiteley then come on the attack, with Josh diving at the feet of the attacker to thwart them, and then Lee see a Whitely shot hit the post.
However Lee are soon back on the attack, Joe passes to Adam, who buries his left foot shot into the goal. 8-0.
Finally Joshua gets his reward for all of his effort, this time he gets the ball on the edge of the area, shoots and scores. 9-0.
This was a great team performance, the score may have been slightly flattering, but the blues never stop working as a team, and in the end the man of the match award was shared by Ronnie and Joshua not just for their goals, but also their tireless effort.
